Entering the Inner Sanctuary
Enter this sanctuary time by settling down, becoming quiet, and breathing deeply a few breaths. Remind yourself you are in the Presence of Love. This place you are entering, within, is the inner Temple. Here, you are One with Spirit and all persons, and Nature. You may use a mantra, or prayer phrase, follow the breathing in-and-out, or witness the arising and falling of all around you as the manifestation of universal-Grace. Enjoy these moments of Quiet and come out when you are ready. The following video is provided, for those who would like meditative music to accompany your Quiet contemplation:

A stranger asked the Sufi, Master Hatim, "How do I find the house of Master Hatim? I've come to study under him." Master Hatim gave him elaborate instructions. The man thanked him for the expert directions, and he began walking.
The next day, the stranger appeared at Master Hatim's house. He saw the Master, and he exclaimed, "Your directions brought me back to your house! What an inept guide you are!" What is your name?" "Hatim," was the reply.
The man begged Master Hatim for forgiveness. He spoke, "Why, Master, did you not tell me yesterday?" "For," said Master Hatim, "I had to see if you could follow simple directions before welcoming you to our school."

Spiritual growth is just that: growth. While we can never predict how it will develop, and at what pace, we must be willing to be with the process. We do our work, engaging the practices proven to inspire growth. Yet, this process is not something we can control. Such growth, as in Nature generally, is facilitated by surrender to the Mystery of transformation. This Journey is not meant to be other than joyful. So, relax, and Enjoy!
